This weekend was the last major weekend for auctions before the end of the year and the results provided a glimmer of hope for a stronger market in 2009 with 57 per cent of homes offered for auction selling this weekend, a better result than has been recorded for the last few weeks.
There were 662 auctions this weekend with 376 selling, 286 passed in of which 185 were passed in on a vendors bid.
