Victoria’s emissions from energy dropped by 1% this week, this was a similar reduction to the previous three weeks Output from coal fired generators reduced by 3% due to a reduction in electricity demand and a 40%increase in output from gas generators and a 20% increase from hydro generators Emissions from gas increased by 12% due to increased use of gas for electricity and increased use of gas for heating due to milder weather compared to the previous week This weeks emissions are 27% higher than average weekly emissions in 1990
