Melanie Dennis is now the Chairperson of the Property Management Chapter at the Real Estate Institute of Victoria. This is a great accolade as Melanie has been voted to the position by her peers in the industry. The Chapter is involved with various Government departments in assisting change within the Property Management Industry. Melanie has been a member of the Chapter since the beginning of 2007.

Our official opening of the office was held with lots of support from our clients and customers. Enzo Raimondo (CEO of the Real Estate Institute of Victoria) officially opened our office and held the crowd’s attention with the efforts Melanie and her team have achieved over the past 7 years within MDRE and also for the industry.

To follow from our news in May, Melanie visited Fiji with the Patan Memorial Clinic to assist with the outreach program that this fabulous foundation runs. A doctor was brought in from the States and a nurse from Australia. With the team of 5, we travelled around Fiji taking medical care to those who cannot regularly access it. It was an amazing experience and I encourage everyone who is able to commit to volunteer work to do so!

Melanie Dennis Real Estate scores 98.94% for customer satisfaction
The judging process for the 2007 Australian Achiever Awards for Victoria’s Real Estate Services category was completed on 30th May.
Now into a tenth year, the Australian Achiever Awards are an independent, unbiased award system based on assessment ratings from a business’ own customers – an indication of a well run business where satisfied customers are a sign that a business is healthy, worthy of praise and increased custom.

Recently we have become aware of the Patan Memorial Clinic. The clinic provides on-going free preventive
health care (screening and education for high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, cervical and
breast cancer, sexually transmitted diseases, and HIV/AIDS) to the people in Fiji. The clinic also
manages known cases of high blood pressure and diabetes on an on-going basis. Outreach programs are
also run to remote settlements and villages and work with other NGO's in Fiji.
In May the Bollywood Fundraiser was held with the team from Melanie Dennis Real Estate enjoying the night with over $15,000 raised for the cause. Melanie will also be visiting Fiji in August to work in the clinic. Any donations are welcome and can be made to www.realchange.com.au .

Melanie Dennis in conjunction with a committee of Property Managers has begun an Inner City Property Management Interest Group through the REIV. As the Chairperson Melanie is responsible for organizing events to raise the awareness and training levels for Property Managers across Melbourne. The functions are held quarterly at Fenix in Richmond and we would like to invite all Property Managers to attend. Melanie Dennis has been invited to join the Property Management Chapter Committee at the REIV. The REIV Property Management Chapter is focused on increasing the awareness of property management within our industry, working with our members to create work environments that are forward thinking, agile, engaged with our clients and employees and are fun places to work.
The chapter is also committed to working with Property Managers to address issues that impact our industry. The Chapter meets once a month at the REIV. It is a great honour to be able to assist with changers for the better within our industry.

This month MDRE has sponsored two childern through World Vision.
Amida Nelson was born on 24th April 2003 and lives in Malawi. Her favourite game is playing with toys. Amida attends preschool where her favourite subject is sining. Amida's language is Chichewa and she lives with her parents with no brothers or sisters.
Tariku Ketesa was born on 11th January 2000 and lives in Ethiopia. his favourite game is football. Tariku goes to primary school and his favourite subject is science. Tariku's language is Oromo, Wellega-Central and he lives with is mother with no brothers or sisters.

If you need help with moving, picking up new furniture or taking a load to the tip, we are there to help. The 6 x 4 trailer with cage and trolley for moving those difficult items (even down stairs!) is there for you - just call to book the trailer and/or trolley for your use! |
