NEW TENANT TERMS AND CONDITIONS

I have now watched the Tenancy Welcome Video from Domain & Co. 


I have read the information supplied and understand from the welcome video;

 

  • The importance of the tenancy agreement and understanding the terms and conditions

  • That I must update the team at Domain & Co with any change for details for either contacting me or my circumstances such as my employment

  • How I can complete my utility connections through OnTheMove

  • That I need to book a move with my owners corporation (if applicable) and charges for the failure to do so will be my responsibility

  • How the first month’s rent and bond payment is to be made and received prior to key collection

  • That the RTBA will send me an SMS and email and I will accept it as soon as I have received it

  • That the condition report is to be returned with our notes within 3 business days of receiving the same (in a pdf version if emailed)

  • That insurance for my contents is my responsibility no matter the reason it is required

  • How I am to make maintenance requests both general and emergency repairs

  • What is after hours emergency maintenance and how I am to report it

  • I am to seek written approval for any additions or alterations to the property

  • The process for routine inspections including the photo/video evidence that is required

  • The process for rent and lease reviews

  • What I should do with mail to my new home that is not addressed to me

  • The rent payment method, due date and the no tolerance to rent arrears if I do not keep the Domain & Co team advised

  • What happens if my rent ever dishonours

  • How rent is calculated and understanding the rent in advance method

  • How to take care of the property

  • How to avoid mould growth within the home and how to treat it if required

  • There is no smoking within the home

  • That the smoke alarm will be serviced annually

  • If there is any issue with the smoke alarm to contact the team at Domain & Co immediately

  • I am to advise the Domain & Co team immediately if there is a change in occupancy & that no new tenants will be added to an agreement

  • There will be an administration charge to remove a named tenant from the agreement

  • The process for when I am ready to vacate the property

  • That there will be charges involved along with rent payments until a new tenant is found if I am to end a tenancy agreement earlier than the date I have signed for

  • The Domian & Co website tenant fact sheets that are available for my knowledge

I understand that communication is the key between a good relationship with our agent and we, along with the team at Domain & Co, have both agreed to make sure we reply to each other’s correspondence in a timely manner and to be courteous and professional in our dealings at all times.
